Several years ago, Norbert’s proudly introduced the Layered Inground Pit System, featuring two significant improvements on the basic in-ground foam pit concept. First, we replace the usual foam chunk/cubes with an ultra-soft foam base, precisely baffled to channel and regulate airflow from the impact site to promote optimal energy dispersion. The floor level layer is a selfcontained 12" mat, also filled with supersoft polyfoam and covered with mesh breather fabric for maximum compression. This mat can double as a stand-alone crash pad should the need arise. Unlike cubes, no fluffing or adjustments are required. Layers can also be replaced easily and inexpensively whenever necessary.
